Hosted by Connecticut Governor Dannel P. Malloy and First Lady Cathy Malloy
Date: June 14–15
Location: Hartford Marriott Downtown
200 Columbus Boulevard, Hartford, CT
At this event, leaders and experts from around the country will meet with a diverse group of participants—including victims of crime, academics, business leaders, members of faith communities, and people who were formerly incarcerated, among others—to examine national and international models of criminal justice reform and discuss the progress that has already been made.
The conference is open to anyone interested in improving the criminal justice system: driving crime down, making communities safer, removing the one-size-fits-all attitude toward corrections, ending the trend of mass incarceration, tackling the cycle of crime and poverty, and ensuring that people who are currently incarcerated never return to the system.
Topics covered at the conference will include:
- Juveniles and young adults in the justice system
- Pretrial justice
