Call for Participants: National Employment Social Enterprise Census Survey

REDFREDF, a venture philanthropy that invests in social enterprises focused on employment, is conducting its first annual National Employment Social Enterprise Census. REDF defines employment social enterprises as organizations (both non-profit and for-profit) that have a mission of employing individuals with significant barriers to employment, including those who have experienced homelessness, incarceration, substance abuse, mental illness, and young people who are not in school or working. The census is designed to obtain a baseline understanding of the social enterprise sector in order for REDF to better serve the field with the content, resources, and programming needed to strengthen and grow such businesses so they can assist a greater number of people. The information provided will also help REDF raise the profile of the sector both regionally and nationally, and advance legislation that is supportive of such work.

The survey should take no more than 15 minutes to complete and should be submitted by September 29.
