BJA logoThe U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) is seeking applications for the FY 2018 Strategies for Policing Innovation (SPI) program. SPI enables police agencies to identify and define their most pressing crime problems as well as institute lasting operational and organizational changes that foster reliance on—and effective use of—evidence-based practices, data, and technology to address those problems. SPI is part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) suite of programs, which is focused on reducing violent crime. These initiatives will coordinate proactively with the PSN team in their respective district of the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO) to enhance collaboration and strengthen the commitment to reducing violent crime. Applicants must demonstrate this coordination with their USAO district PSN team in their submission.

The solicitation provides further details about the program. Applications are due by May 21.
