The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)’s Center for Substance Abuse Treatment is accepting applications for FY 2018 Offender Reentry Program grants. The purpose of this program is to expand substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and related recovery and reentry services to people who have a SUD and/or co-occurring substance use and mental disorders and are returning to their families and community from incarceration in state and local facilities. Applicants are expected to form stakeholder partnerships that plan, develop, and provide a transition from incarceration to community-based SUD treatment and related reentry services. SAMHSA’s interest is to actively support offender reentry stakeholder partnerships so that clinical needs are met and clients are treated using evidence-based practices.
The solicitation provides further details about the program. Applications are due January 26, 2018.
