ACCJHThe 12th Academic Health & Policy Conference on Correctional Health, led by the Academic Consortium on Criminal Justice Health, will provide a forum for researchers, clinicians, administrators, educators, policymakers, and grant funding leaders to network, share evidence, and learn about emerging research and relevant policy updates in the field of correctional health care. Correctional health and juvenile justice professionals are faced with daily challenges unique to their fields at a time of unprecedented growth in prison and parole populations. While best practices have emerged, there are many gaps in clinical and population health research. The conference seeks to answer questions related to topics such as whether corrections-to-community linkages help to decrease recidivism; what strategies can stem the rising populations of incarcerated youth; and what strategies are useful in preventing relapses in relation to substance addictions.
