Awards_OJJDPIn this webinar, the Age of Criminal Responsibility Research Training and Technical Assistance Center, the National Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Resource Center, and the PREA Coordinator for the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department will discuss how age of criminal responsibility policies impact youth being served in adult facilities. Once a youth is in custody, public safety professionals must take extra precautions to keep the youth safe from harm and to implement the Youthful Inmate Standard of the PREA. Presenters will review these standards and reflect on the particular challenges faced when housing and protecting youth.
