Hosted by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration
Substance use and mental health problems may challenge a woman’s ability to parent effectively. During pregnancy, a woman’s health behaviors have lasting impacts for both the mother and the fetus. This webinar will explore the opportunities and challenges associated with motherhood in recovery, as well as effective interventions and supports available for women, their children, and their families. Topics will include family-centered approaches and systems of care, evidence-based curricula and practices that support parenting and child-parent relationships, cultural dynamics in family recovery, and more.
