Hosted by the Justice Clearinghouse

Justice ClearinghouseFamily Reentry Meetings and Family Transition Meetings are designed for those coming home from incarceration to meet with their family members to both reconcile their relationships and develop a detailed plan for their reentry. An individual can have a Family Transition Meeting at the beginning of serving a sentence, in which the family can discuss concerns and hopes for how their loved one can spend their incarcerated time constructively, including discussing the details of what can be accomplished (such as drug treatment, counseling, or education); plan out visitation and other contact; and determine what needs to be taken care of by family members at home to keep everything running smoothly. Both of these meetings can be done inside or outside of the facility depending on the case and on the policies in place.

Date: Tuesday, May 21
Time: 3–4 p.m. ET
