Livestream_SCATechThe National Reentry Resource Center will host its Second Chance Act Training Summit for Technology Career-Based Training Program grantees; corrections, reentry, and workforce development directors and managers; and direct service practitioners. The training summit will include a live-streamed session that consists of two panels, one featuring an employer and employee and the other an employer and reentry service director. The first panel will be the Welcome and Keynote presentation, immediately followed by the second panel which will be a workshop entitled, “A Sector-Based Approach: Engaging Local Employers.” Both panels will include discussions on best and promising practices for engaging local employers in hiring people who have criminal records, developing training for industry-recognized credentials, and collaborating with various agencies for reentry planning.
