The U.S. Department of Justice’s National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is seeking applications for the funding of rigorous evaluations of promising practices and strategies that aim to promote effective management and supervision in institutional and community corrections. Specifically, the NIJ is interested in receiving proposals for research and evaluation focused on reducing violence and the provision of medical and mental health services, particularly in addressing these topics in the context of jails, community corrections, and rural and tribal correctional systems.
