The Open Society Foundations is seeking applications for its Soros Justice Fellowships. Prospective fellows can apply for funding through either the advocacy, media, or youth activist fellowship. Grants of up to $120,000 will be awarded to outstanding individuals to undertake projects that advance reform, spur debate, and catalyze change on a range of issues facing the U.S. criminal justice system. The fellowships are part of a larger effort within the Open Society Foundations to challenge the over-reliance on incarceration and extreme punishment and to ensure a fair and accountable system of justice.
The solicitation provides further details about the program. Applications are due by Wednesday, December 6.
