The 2018 International Association of Law Enforcement Planners Annual Conference is focused on bridging borders between the community and law enforcement agencies by providing law enforcement planners from around the globe with a multitude of speakers scheduled to present innovative ideas on tackling issues that law enforcement face in today’s society. The conference is designed to encourage interaction among its participants in hopes to create a more effective network of both civilian and uniform law enforcement planners so they can better serve their local communities. Topics will include law enforcement responses to mental health; intelligence sharing between local, state, tribal, territorial, and federal agencies; and building a data set to support policy.
