OVWThe U.S. Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women is seeking applications for the FY 2019 Sexual Assault Services Culturally Specific Program. These grants will support the creation, maintenance, and expansion of sustainable sexual assault services provided by organizations that focus on culturally specific communities. The funds may be used for a range of activities including: outreach activities for undeserved communities; 24-hour hotline services providing crisis intervention services and referrals; and information and referrals to assist the sexual assault victim and their family. Allowable activities include accompaniment and advocacy through medical, criminal justice, and social support systems, including medical facilities, police, and court proceedings.
