Institute for Intergovernmental ResearchThe Institute of Intergovernmental Research is seeking applications on behalf of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance, which is joining efforts with Arnold Ventures to support this nine-month planning initiative designed to help communities develop a comprehensive continuum of care model that targets the jail population and builds bridges between in-custody and community-based treatment. Implementing Medication-assisted treatment in jails and enhancing collaboration between jails and community providers are required to change the course of the opioid epidemic, but these are not easy tasks for local jurisdictions. The purpose of this solicitation is to help communities take advantage of this opportunity to treat some of their most vulnerable residents with opioid addictions by establishing a comprehensive continuum of care that starts in jail and extends to treatment providers in the community.

Applications are due Monday, March 25. Learn more and apply.
