Awards_OJJDPThe U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is seeking grants for the FY 2018 Gang Suppression Planning Grants Program. It is designed to reduce violent crime, gangs, and victimization as well as to promote public safety in communities through planning support to eligible localities and building capacity for a multilateral data-driven strategy. OJJDP’s gang and youth violence prevention strategy is founded on the recognition that preventing and reducing gang crime and violence require a shared framework of strategic and coordinated delivery of programs, services, and practices across multiple sectors that balance community development, prevention, intervention, and targeted suppression and enforcement.

The solicitation provides further details about the program. Applications are due by August 27.
