National American Indian Court Judges AssociationThe 2019 National Tribal Judicial and Court Personnel conference, hosted by the National American Indian Court Judges Association, will provide quality culturally-appropriate continuing legal education to tribal judges, peacemakers, and court personnel. Participants will learn about major recent court decisions and legislation, as well as emerging practices that improve the quality of tribal justice administration while maintaining fidelity to tribal traditions, customs, and values. Workshops include: Perspectives for Improving Outcomes for Tribal Youth and Families— Effective Juvenile Justice Reforms; What to Consider in Pleas, Sentencings, and Probation Violations; and Using Strategic Planning in Tribal Court Development.
